Maurice Fraley Parlor

The Maurice Fraley Parlor is located immediately to the right of the entrance to the Lonesome Pine School & Heritage Center and is so named to honor James M. Fraley whose financial support enabled the project to be completed.

The center was just one of the several projects in the area which benefited from Maurice's generosity.

The focal point of the room is the Tree of Remembrance which occupies one wall.  One of the original fireplaces has been restored and a picture of Powell Valley donated by the Gembach family hangs above the mantel.  The walls are covered with pictures showing both the old and new schools of the area.  Comfortable furniture is also provided to create a living room atmosphere for those who would like to linger a while.
